Annalee Lodge - Boating

The Shannon-Erne Waterway traverses 62.5 kms of lake, river and still canal sections, with 16 fully automatic locks, 34 stone bridges and 6 fully serviced mooring areas along the way. With its very own mooring point at the 'foot of the garden', Annalee Lodge can be the perfect home base for your own explorations of this exquisite waterway, in all its variety of landscape, wildlife, history and archaeology.

Eighty-four km of the RIver Erne is navigable from Belturbet to Belleek in Co Fermanagh. There is only one lock on the system, Portora Lock. Having been a trade route for the Vikings, the Erne system has never seen modern commerical navigation. It is a truly unspoilt and tranquil leisure-oriented expanse of water for boating enthusiasts and game and coarse anglers.

Cruiser hire is available in Belturbet from Emerald Star, tel: +353 (0)71 962-7633 or email: info@emeraldstar.ie; and Kingfisher Boating Holidays at Quivy Marina, tel: +353 (0)86 638-3923 or email: info@boatingholidaysireland.com.
